CHOOSING CHILDFREE

Growing Up Childfree in the Heart of the South

We had a blast chatting with Jorie Logan Morris, a copywriter and branding expert living in Romania.

From her early epiphany in a community steeped in tradition to her audacious leap living abroad, Jorie’s story is a resounding testament to the liberation, purpose, and limitless horizons that the childfree path can unveil. Meet Jorie.

PROTECTING OUR STATUS

The voices of childless workers speaking out against unfair treatment are gaining momentum! Samantha Walsh and the Non-Mum Network are petitioning Parliament to curb discrimination and bias against non-parents by adding reproductive status as a protected characteristic.

Whether you reside in the UK or not, your signature on the petition can make a difference in expressing solidarity and support. 🙏

FROM OUR COMMUNITY

After ditching dating apps for a local matchmaking service, Jessi from Des Moines had a Zoom call that stunned her. Upon disclosing she’s childfree, Midwest Matchmaking declined to work with her since EVERYONE in their database considers dating, marriage, and kids a package deal. WTF?! Clearly their loss!

On that note, has anyone checked out CFdating? Tomorrow is “Dating Sunday” — the first Sunday of the year and the best time to find a date online. 💘

Thumbs up for "Forget Having Kids. I'm Having Fun" — a fun read from Dane Reid that breaks away from stereotypes. Choosing to be childfree is not about fear; it's about embracing a life filled with joy and fulfillment.

Childfree coach, Andrew Miller, wants to help you find your true purpose — without having kids! Grab his free e-book, “Unleash Your Legacy” and join his Masterclass on January 30th to receive a blueprint for creating a meaningful life and business you enjoy!

Pennika, a childfree graphic designer from Athens living in Milan, has created a 2024 calendar we love with clever, minimalist illustrations about coffee, wine, and some black cats. ☕️ 🍷 😺

The unsettling docuseries "The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: Natalia Speaks" is a chilling saga of regretful parents — an American couple who adopted a Ukrainian girl with dwarfism, later asserting she was an adult sociopath.

Is it over yet? Dry January? What seemed like a great way to say, “Adios eggnog, ciao champagne!” now feels like a punishment. Maybe we don't need an entire month to ease our alcohol dependence? 🤷‍♀️ Whether you’re inspired by genuine fun or feel the slightest bit triggered by this "virtue signaling" — you do you. Do whatever makes you feel good. For some of us, that includes Sour January.

Visualize Your Victory: Crush your fitness goals with an award-winning 3D suit 👆️ . No more tedious tape measures or scales—let your childfree goals take center stage.

The Rise of DINKS: While it’s not ground-breaking news, this CNBC feature is a great reminder of some of the reasons many of us choose the childfree life, with a nod to the eye-popping estimated cost of $310,605 to raise a child born in 2015 to age 18. Ooof!

Paying the Price: Women in the workforce pay a price to have children. Sadly, the Mommy Tax = fewer career opportunities + childcare costs.

Resort Al-Ready? If you just returned to work this week but need a break, take a luxe daycation at a hotel pool or spa in your city starting at just 25 bucks.
